Project Highlights
67,000 SF tiltwall addition and renovation to specific areas of the existing building. The new facility tied into the existing building and distributing areas with several new offices and breakroom added in an old receiving dock area.
The addition houses:
- New automated sorting, inserting and distribution equipment
- 170 space employee parking lot
- 24 truck docs
- Landscaping of the hike and bike trail
- 8’ thick slab with unique reinforcement to handle the weight and vibration of the equipment and extreme flatness
- Built to reduce energy required to withstand heavy industrial use while maintaining a comfortable working environment
The Austin American Statesman remained fully operational during the entire construction process – employees were present and working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Statesman experienced uninterrupted operation of their facilities during all phases of construction.
