Optimizing Value
Raymond Construction is committed to helping you Realize Your Vision. Expect us to focus on your needs by Optimizing Value.
Our approach to “value engineering” is much more than initial cost cutting and finding ways to eliminate waste. Relying on our extensive experience, we are also looking at ways to optimize your building program so it benefits your particular situation. For example, if you plan to own a building for a long time, we might recommend a higher initial price for a particular product or system if the frequency of replacement is high on a lower priced item. Or if you are planning to build and immediately sell a facility, then the lower initial cost of a particular product or system will be the better value for you. With a client’s best interest in mind, you can expect Raymond Construction to take the following factors into consideration during initial project planning:
- Initial price
- Maintenance costs over the lifetime of a building or products
- Operational costs over a set period of time for the building or products
- Anticipated life span of the building or how long the owner/developer plans to own a building
- Time value of money
- Replacement cost of products or systems
- Frequency of replacement of products or systems
- Salvage value at the end of service period
